8 Weeks

How I look  Still look the same for the most part, but I've noticed that my abdomen seems to be expanding already.  I used to be able to tighten my abs and suck in to a flat or inverted stomach, and it's getting more and more difficult to do.
How I feel Feeling more comfortable and assured that everything will work out.
Symptoms  Feeling pretty yucky, nausea has increased, but still no real vomit feeling.  INSOMNIA is the biggest problem.  For 2 nights in a row I've tossed and turned, only getting 1-2 complete hours of sleep.  I thought I would feel more tired, and thus sleep more.  While I am slightly fatigued toward the end of each work day, I'm still not tired enough to shut my brain off and get sleep.  Also, we are going through a few days of freezing weather, which makes sleeping upstairs nearly impossible bc the heater doesn't shut off.  It's about 80 degrees upstairs while 65 downstairs.  So I moved to the couch last night.
Cravings  I find myself wanting to eat stuff I ate as a child, like Mac and Cheese, cereal, and simple fruits like grapes and melons.  Still no desire to cook, and I have not wanted any meat or salad.  I've never been a huge fan of red meat, but these days, the thoguht seems to make me nauseated.  Still taking my gummie vitamins, though I need to try to get some iron in my diet somewhere.  Every CBC I've ever had done in my life showed slight anemia.
Excited about  Sooooo... I just found out that my sister-in-law Becca is expecting a baby shortly after me, sometime in late September or October.  She will be going to my OBGYN, and since our husbands are identical twins, I think the Dr's and nurses may get confused when they start seeing the "same" husband with 2 different pregnant wives.  It will be really fun to have cousins so close in age in the same city.  It will also be nice for JP and I to have another couple on this 9 month journey with us.
Worried about  Same stuff as before, but a little less so.
Etc...  I think I cracked a filling eating some cheddar cheese popcorn.  I go to the dentist tomorrow, but not being able to take Advil is really wearing on me.  Topical gels only numb the pain slightly.  Fingers crossed the dentist has enough time to fix it tommorrow.  I also plan to talk to my boss tomorrow about the fact that I found out that I am significantly underpaid for the market, according to our HR department.  This means that as new people come in with my relative level of experience and qualifications, they are starting them at roughly $10K higher than me.  I'm not sure if anything will come out of it, but it bothers me too much to keep quiet, especially with all the new expenses that will be coming with the baby.

7 weeks!

Yesterday I went for an internal ultrasound, and the technician confirmed that I was 6 weeks, 6 days pregnant.
While she was a little short with me, and didn't tell me a due date, I've calculated that I should be due around September 14th, 2011.  The heartbeat was 134 BPM, in perfect range for gestational age.
How I look  I look pretty much the same, except for my boobs, which seem to have grown a full cup size.  I had to go buy a larger sports bra for the gym, and a sleep bra (I've heard that keeps the girls from sagging later on!)
How I feel Overall I feel OK.  I go from being really excited to being really anxious about the upcoming responsibilities.  I've had a few crying spells and anxiety attacks, but it's getting better now that Jean-Paul is getting more excited and less worried.
Symptoms  Nausea has been off and on all day, but pretty mild.  I'm not vomiting, and as long as it's a nice day, I usually feel well enough to carry on my activities
Cravings  None.  I just have no desire to cook :(
Excited about  Finding out the sex, so we can plan a nursery and register for all the goodies! Hopefully reaching the 13 week mark so I can tell extended family and more friends.  Only a handful of friends and family currently know.
Worried about  Health of the baby, my health and Crohn's disease coming back post-pardum, money, time off from work, pumping at work, staying in shape, being organised, finding an awesome and affordable nannie/mother's helper for the days I work from home, and a great in-home childcare for the days I go into the office.
Etc...  My good friend Amy, whom I chat with at work on instant messenger all day, delivered her precious baby Willliam last night.  I'm so happy for her, but she was the only co-worker I had shared the news with yet. So to keep from going insane, I had to share with one more yesterday.  Congrats Shuang, you're it!
